Some Fun Shirts

What I've been up to

Christmas is coming and since this is our first Christmas married I wanted to have some stockings that we can always keep! I drew the pattern, cute out the green flannel, and cut out the whimsical tops. Then sewed it all together! Luckily, I had a sewing machine! The bells add a little Christmas cheer.

An experiment with Nature

I just completed another shirt for a friend! This design was inspired by a vinyl wall design I saw. I wanted to do a shirt with an owl because they are so in right now, and are way cute. The hand sewing ended up being more than I had anticipated, but the swirls on the tree buds add a whimsical feel. The fabric that the owl is made of is a cute pink, brown, yellow, and green paisley floral. This is a perfect shirt for the cool fall season!

It's a wrap!

A fun simple wrap headband. I have one that I bought that is similar in style, and I have been wanting to duplicate it. This was the result. The colors are somewhat summer-like, but I thought they looked good together. This project is super easy and fast. All you need is a needle and thread, and scissors to cut out the fabric!

Fun Flower clips

I made a lot of these clips over the summer for nieces and my little cousin. I have worn some of them too! So they aren't just for little girls. I have different clips to fasten on the back, and even pins, if you want it for a shirt or jacket.

Felt Flower Headband

This headband is similar to the fabric flower headband, only I experimented with felt. The flower is felt as are the leaves. There is a rose button in the center. I can also make these with silk flowers.

Flower Headbands

This is a cute "black and white affair" headband. I made the flower from fabric, and sewed a button in the middle. Then I simply sewed it onto a gray headband. These are cute for any age. For little girls I would make a smaller flower.
